Method

Source

All ad records come from the Meta Ad Library API, the public repository Meta maintains under the EU Digital Services Act. Coverage is ads of any type delivered to the UK or EU in the trailing twelve months, plus political and social-issue ads worldwide for seven years.

What run duration means

Meta publishes delivery start and stop times. It does not publish spend, impressions or click-through for commercial ads. Run duration is our own calculation from those two timestamps. It is a proxy, not a performance figure: a long run usually means an advertiser is happy with the results, but it can also mean nobody is watching the account.

Refresh

Each advertiser is re-pulled every six days. The API allows roughly 200 calls an hour, so refreshes run in slices overnight rather than on request.

Known limits

Ads that never reached UK or EU users do not appear. Reach figures are EU-only and bucketed. Advertisers running through an agency may show the agency as payer rather than the brand.
